I turned off the bedside lamp. The darkness cast its sorrow along the walls of the room, but I ignored the pain I had. I sunk my head on the pillow and it molded to an embrace. I swam into my insomniac sleep and after thirty minutes, I jolted to gasp for breath.
It was the same dream, every single night. You were suffocating me to death, but I held your wrists to intensify your plan. If it would put you in peace, then I would let you.
It was the only way no one could hold you. When I pulled the trigger while you were sleeping, I only had the relief. We would meet again, but this time without the hindrance; in a world of two.
I clutched the cold sheets on your side. I could hear the anger in your restrained voice when I dreamed of you, but you were only there. You would have to wait a little longer.
